Interim Head Of Housing
1. Working with the relevant Portfolio holder to set the vision for the provision of housing services across the council
2. Implementation of the vision through day to day management of the Housing Service. This includes responsibility for homelessness, housing need and housing advice, housing development and strategy and private sector housing (we are an LSVT authority)
3. Council`s lead officer regarding Supporting People
4. Representing the Authority on housing issues at local, regional and national level (as a Beacon Authority for Affordable Housing there is a significant amount of work involved with this)
In terms of the interim position I am seeking someone who will concentrate on the day to day management of the team. The team has been through a busy*turbulent time recently and needs a really good manager in place.
